Experience Summary
I started tutoring when I was a college student. Upon my entrance to the SDSU Department of Chemistry, I was granted an opportunity to teach as a TA in Chemistry. I had been teaching for 4 years before I received my master's degree in December of 2007. In these 4 years, I always had good evaluations from students. As a result of my hard work, the SDSU Residential Education Office decided to hire me as a contracted tutor in the dormitory area in 2007. In addition to teaching and tutoring at school, I also teach as a private math and science tutor. I strongly believe my experiences will help a lot.
Teaching Style
My style of teaching is professional and fun. I usually make friends with students so that they don’t feel stressed and bored. Too much pressure doesn’t help learning. I think students can learn better in a relaxing environment. In addition, when I am teaching, I usually make examples from daily life so that students can associate the subject to their surroundings, which helps them understand better.
