Experience Summary
I spent two years in the Boston College School of Ed, where I had a practicum placement and learned lesson plan design, assessment design, and other vital tasks.
I have also been tutoring since I was in high school, most recently at the MATCH School in Boston for over a year.
Teaching Style
I believe that good teaching is predicated upon the understanding between teacher and student that each will meet the other half way. Students should feel that their instructors will work as hard as them if not harder to cover the requisite material. I employ the Socratic method of teaching to this end, and also treat all students as responsible for their own actions to encourage a sense of ownership over their own education. I use my communication skills to instill trust and to prove to my students that they are more than capable of completing the tasks in front of them.
