Experience Summary
As a mathematics graduate, I am very detail-oriented and organized. Throughout college I tutored college students in calculus, business math, and statistics. I also tutored high school students in Algebra 1 and 2, Trigonometry, and Geometry. My easy-going and patient teaching style created many referrals that made me a successful and lucrative tutor. During the past six years I have tutored all levels of math with students ranging from Kindergarten to College age.
Teaching Style
Although I earned a mathematics degree, I struggled to gain complete competence in algebra and geometry. I believe that my initial struggles have enabled me to become a better teacher because I constantly offer several ways of solving a problem to my students. I do not have to pause and wait for them to comprehend the material the first try. I can simply try re-phrasing or a different method. Also, I am intrinsically patient and a people-pleaser. I love seeing children succeed and value their success.
