Experience Summary
As an undergraduate Chemistry major, I was looking to make some extra money, as college students are generally quite poor. I am very good with finding various ways of helping others to understanding key concepts in a way that relates to each individual person. On campus, I became a highly recommended tutor for regular students as well as student-athletes. Tutoring sessions involved helping students to complete homework assignments, reviewing exams and quizzes, and exam/quiz preparation. Along with helping other students to learn and understand concepts of General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Applied Mathematics, Genetics, and Microeconomics, I gained insight into new ways to reach out to the minds of new clients that came to me for help.
Teaching Style
I simply enjoy helping others in general. Everyone has the ability to learn, as we are extremely curious beings that strive to always "want to know." It brings me satisfaction to see the "light bulb" go off in a student's head once they are able to get a concept that has been frustrating them. I understand that each individual mind is not the same, and the challenge of finding a way to reach out to each individual gives me motivation, as I love new challenges. I am confident in what I do, because I have personal experience in receiving tutoring, and providing tutoring services for others. You can expect your student(s) to go up at least one full letter grade with my help.
