Experience Summary
I have worked extensively with students with special needs over the past ten years as a paraprofessional. These experiences as well my post secondary education in Elementary and Special Education have given me the confidence and skills needed to become an experienced tutor. I have assisted students in various areas of the general education curriculum by modifying instruction to meet the needs of the individual student's needs.
Teaching Style
My goal in teaching students is to assess the best way I can provide instruction to utilize each student's individual strengths and manner of learning. I strongly believe in combining methods of instruction to most effectively fit the individual's needs thereby making the learning process successful as well as meaningful and memorable. My teaching style is creative, supportive and dependable. I aim to make the student comfortable enough in his or her own learning style and ready to participate in the learning process.
