Teaching Style
I have earned seven years of teaching experience while working as an instructor of microbiology at the University of Esfahan, Iran. I was an active member of faculty team at the department of pathobiology. My responsibility was training students with laboratory methods and teaching them theories in microbiology. As my philosophy of teaching, I truly believe that population and technology are in progress. Education becomes a principal of survival. Now, people are characterized based on how they can do their jobs. From a generalist to a specialist, simple task job to multitask profession, education is part of the requirement. Teaching is an opportunity that must support many students and create a diverse learning environment with a perfect equality for exchanging thoughts and opinions. Biology is an area of science that requires illustrations, metabolic pathways, graphs, and charts. A biology instructor can motivate students by creating a clear prospective about a scientific subject.
If a science major student is my audience, I can communicate with them based on their basic knowledge and expand their understanding. For non-science students, I have to evaluate my student at the beginning of my class and to adjust myself in teaching based on their general information. In both situations, I must improve their interest as early as possible by using a clear outline and good teaching plan. While I was studying art for my multimedia associate degree, I made an interactive project about human mycosis. My target audiences were professionals who were trying to learn about a difficult topic. I used illustrations, images, outlines, and scientific names with interactivities of sounds, and short animations.
