Experience Summary
I have earned my bachelor degree from University of Miami in 1994 and obtained a music teacher position at Skyway Elementary at the start of school. I was nominated for teacher of the year and was selected within my first two years of teaching. I have taught the middle school level for several years along with tutoring high school student in general educational classes. In addition to my varied educational experiences, I received my masters degree in Education and was acting assistant principal for three months. Even though I am currently a police officer, my passion still lies within educating students. I am fortunate enough to be an elementary school police officer, having the opportunity to do the best of both worlds.
Teaching Style
Education is a part of life. I have always felt that the only way for one to succeed is to always learn. There is something special that I (we as educators) feel inside when a person finally "get's it". There is no words that can explain what that feeling is, however; it is intoxicating. Every child can learn, but on her / his own pace and learning styles. It is my job to find out how to reach the child's and having the child take ownership to what is being presented.
