Experience Summary
I worked for 16 years as a high school science and math instructor at a small school which necessitated that I teach all the courses in the 9-12 curriculum in rotation. These courses included all levels of mathematics, biology, chemistry and physics. I qualified to teach AP courses and wrote a number of integrated curriculum for my school district. I also tutor in the school's tutoring center because many of the students need the additional assistance.
Teaching Style
I would describe my teaching style as being essentially constructivist. I strive to show students how the subject matter is relevant to them and help them see the benefit derived from mastering a subject area. I try to analyze the student's learning style and their current weaknesses in order to tailor the instruction to meet their needs. I believe I am patient and respectful. I enjoy teaching in an atmosphere of mutual respect and effort.
