Experience Summary
I have a varied academic background. I graduated from an interpreting training program in 1998 and worked as an educational interpreter for several years. I then went back to college to get my degree in education. Most of my studies are in education, including deaf and special education, psychology, counseling, american sign language, child speech, language development, and theater arts. Because of my diverse educational experience I believe I would do well tutoring all learners in many aspects of their education.
Teaching Style
I love to teach. I presently teach at a montessori school for deaf children. I truly enjoy working everyday with my students. I have an innate ability to teach. I take pride in providing individualized education to all of my students. I guide them with respect and dignity to allow them to realize their potential. Being positive and having the right attitude can bring down many barriers that may block one from growing and learning and I make sure that each one of my students can learn the power of this.
