Experience Summary
I earned a bachelor degree in Psychology and a master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling. These degrees have allowed me to gain expertise in many areas including math (specifically statistics), chemistry, biology, and child development. More specifically my master’s degree provided me with training in working with special populations. In addition to my academic studies I have gained extensive knowledge in writing and grammatical skills through the numerous research papers, clinical reports and professional manuscripts (journal articles, book chapters) I have written. At my current position with a publishing company, I am able to continue to enhance my writing and grammatical skills. Regarding my teaching experience, I have had the opportunity to participate as a presenter at several professional training conferences, and was a teaching assistant in the College of Education at the University of Florida. While employed as a research coordinator at the University of Florida, I supervised and taught 5 to 8 Psychology undergraduate students each semester. I have also obtained additional training in working with children and adolescents, through several years of conducting family and individual therapy.
Teaching Style
I think you need to examine each students learning style to determine the most efficient teaching style for that individual. In addition the type of information you are trying to teach will also vary the style which is utilized.
