Experience Summary
My academic and performing arts accomplishments awarded me several scholarships to Brandeis University, where I studied Early Education, Elementary Education and History, graduating in 1996 with my BA degree and teaching certification. Throughout my college years, I worked part time as an infant and toddler teacher at a local pre-school, taught as a substitute teacher for local elementary schools, and continued my work as the Drama Teacher and Director for the Rivers School and Camp (Weston, MA) every summer until June of 2000. After completing my education, I went on to a few teaching positions, positions in business (Recruiting and Human Resources)and one position as a nanny. I currently focus on my singing and real estate consulting, but my passion for working with children remains. I have extensive skills in teaching reading, English and the Arts.
Teaching Style
I have always had a gift and natural ability to teach children of all ages. I am able to make them feel comfortable to express who they are and what is needed to help them learn. I use this to nurture what is aready there and to raise them to their highest potential. I allow them the time and give the guidance necessary for them to enjoy learning! I know they will let their own abilities shine with the environment to do so. I am there to help along the way and to provide them with the tools to keep it going!
