Experience Summary
I graduated from Texas Tech University with a degree in Elementary Education with a Reading Specialization. I have taught 2nd grade in the public school system until I had my own children. I have experience teaching all grade levels up to Junior in High School because I have home-schooled my children. I have experience working with different learning disabilities as well; for example, Dyslexia, ADD. I also have 37 years of music experience playing the piano. I have taught piano for 10 years. I have tutored all subjects in the elementary grades and History, English, Pre-Algebra, and Algebra I in the upper grades.
Teaching Style
I have worked with children in one capacity or another for over 20 years. I love to help children achieve their educational goals and to succeed in any way possible. I enjoy watching a child's face light up when they have accomplished something that has been a challenge for them. It is a joy for me to spread the gift of knowledge. All children can learn to full potential if given the attention and opportunities necessary.
