Experience Summary
I have taught middle and high school students science since 1987. I have a BA in Biology and am certified to teach high school biology and chemistry and middle grade science. I recently completed level 1 and level 2 of my reading endorsement courses, and have used that while I tutor elementary students in reading.
Teaching Style
I am a hands-on type of science teacher. I believe that there's more to learning than just from the book, so to speak. My goal is to give students the help that they need with which to succeed. I like to teach via real life examples and real life applications. I truly believe that students who read succeed, so I also have a great interest in helping the younger students succeed with reading.
