Experience Summary
As an employee of Collier County Public Schools for 10 years, I have been in the education field and enjoy working with students of all ages. Since 2004, I have been tutoring students from grades Pre Kindergarten through 12th grade and even post graduate students. My tutoring has been math, reading, writing, science, history and other areas like SAT testing preparation. Currently I hold a BS in Management and have a teaching certificate pending for grades Pre Kindergarten - 3rd grade. I have tutored in private homes as well as at school, public libraries and educational centers. Throughout my tutoring experiences I have tutored one on one as well as group tutoring, depending on the need of each child and what the subject being tutored in. I have my own tutoring materials and am familiar with pre and post testing the students.
Teaching Style
I have been working with children for 10 years and absolutely enjoy it. My belief is that all students can succeed when given the chance. During my pre test I assess the student and observe to implement the best tutoring tactic for each and every child. All children are different and special in each and every way. The best reward in tutoring is to see the student being tutored academically succeed. When tutoring not only does the tutor need to know the material being taught but also be able to communicate well with the child and bond in order to get across and be effective. Another important thing is to communicate with the parents and the teachers regularly to that the areas in need are being reinforced in all aspects.
