Experience Summary
At an early age, I have been impressed with the influence teachers have on their students. After graduating with my BA degree, I found myself in the classroom teaching. I taught Science and the experience gave me a deeper understanding for the subject areas and how to make the concepts simple for students to understand. I left that assignment and went to graduate school to work on my MBA. While in graduate school, I taught high school completion math (Algebra and Geometry) for seven years. I have tutored children for 14 years.
Teaching Style
Teaching is part of my life, and it gives me great pleasure to see children's eyes when they understand a concept that was difficult for them. My teaching style varies to meet the needs f the students I am teaching. Some students learn more through visual means. Therefore, I am able to provide visual objects to those children. Some learn more through audio methods. For those children, I am able to provide audio to help them. My goal is to make concepts as simple as possible for everyone to understand and learn.
