Experience Summary
In my past work experience in law enforcement and the military I came to understand the necessity of possessing good writing skills. I have earned a BA in English which has enabled me to not only improve my own writing skills, but to learn the elements of good writing in order to teach them to others. I have been teaching at the college level for almost two years and one of those years has been teaching college composition.
Teaching Style
I absolutely love teaching and thrive on the interaction with my students. I approach teaching on a personal level by relating individually to my students. I make the effort to learn what each student needs as far as learning style and interaction and try to approach each student in that manner. I believe all students are capable of great success with the proper encouragement. The challenge for an educator is to determine the proper encouragement for each individual student.
