Experience Summary
After graduating college with a degree in Finance I pursued careers in that field which were very rewarding. My wife is a school adminsitrator and I thought a career in teaching might be a nice change as the school schedule appeared generous. I tried it and what happened next can best be expressed as; "a calling". I have taught mathematics at the middle thru high school levels encompassing Pre-Algebra thru Calculus. I have students attending Stanford, Harvard, Wake Forest, the University of North Carolina and George Mason, just to name a few.
Teaching Style
My teaching style revolves around the student's learning style though I prefer to be "hands on". I am a firm believer that grades reflect effort. Because most students have difficulty in math or just do not enjoy it, my personality becomes an asset. Learning should be an enjoyable experience and it is most enjoyable when a student understands the concepts. Building confidence in a student leads to success and I believe I have a gift for achieving this.
