Experience Summary
I devote myself to my work. During high school, I enrolled myself at the local college (Florida Atlantic University) and took advanced placement courses. I graduated second in my high school class with over a 5.0 weighted-GPA and 500 hours of community service. I also orchestrated a 7-student tutoring group through the Exceptional Student department and thus have experience tutoring students with learning disabilities. Having obtained over two years worth of college education while still in high school, I pushed myself beyond the typical collegiate degree. I obtained two bachelor's degrees (BA in History; BA in English) and a minor in French. As an English major, I have great grammatical and communicative skills. As a renaissance student, I have an extensive knowledge of many subjects: calculus, physics, geometry, biology, English, civics, history, and SAT testing. I have tutored in geometry, English, and music theory.
Teaching Style
I enjoy working with children. I volunteered at a day care center for four years and tutored children with learning disabilities. I am very patient and calm; my friends describe me as zen. I know that all children have the ability to learn; yet, some need help to unlock their potential. I love teaching. In fact, I am currently enrolled in the UF PROTEACH Masters Program, and by next year I plan to be a fully certified high school teacher. As I have devoted myself to my academic career, I will dedicate myself to helping all children learn.
