Experience Summary
I am a very dedicated and experienced teacher. With over 10 years of professional and non-professional experience, I have worked with children of all levels and abilities. I graduated with honors as Magna Cum Laude with a BA in Elementary Education. The skills I have attained both through my education and experience, have allowed me to understand a diverse line of subjects (math, science, social studies, language arts, and reading). Because of the attention I have given to these subjects, I have been very successful in helping and tutoring children academically.
Teaching Style
Teaching is something that comes very naturally to me and I feel very comfortable in doing. I understand that every child has a very unique and individualized learning style. Therefore, part of being a good teacher is figuring out how to tap into each student's style, so that they may be reached at whatever level they are at. It is important to always be patient and gentle with a child during their learning process, as their determination and drive can change depending on your willingness to help them. Each child must feel that you care about their learning and the outcome of their growth in a great way. My goal for each student is to make them feel successful even at the smallest level, so that they may stay focused on always growing in whatever skill they are working on.
