Experience Summary
I returned to school in 1996 while working full time to pursue a Bachelor's degree in business management. In this environment, I learned to work successfully academically in a team setting with students from a variety of different backgrounds, ethnicities, ages and genders. I was the commencement speaker for my graduating class and I felt so inspired to continue my education that I immediately began the Master's program. Two years later, I graduated with Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. Two years after that, I began teaching on campus one night a week in business management. Two years after starting teaching, I became certified to teach distance education through the online format. My credentials include successful teaching/tutoring at both a major private university and at a professional career college locally.
Teaching Style
I love teaching and working with all children. I believe all children can learn, but each in different ways. I am available to help your child find academic success. I am patient, easy going, and considerate but firm. My goal is to provide the best education possible. I am a firm believer in teaching through discovery and in providing a constructivist approach to learning. I work with the child to set realistic goals they can accomplish in their academic pursuit. I believe all children can meet their potential if they are given the appropriate surroundings and learning experiences. A few good educators can make a world of difference to a child's education. I strive to make a difference in all of my students' lives.
