Experience Summary
I was an average student in high school, and am therefore able to identify the needs of young people as they struggle to master certain subject areas. I have raised three children who have pursued careers in the field of education, and I have a strong background in both business and education. Additional coaching experience, as well as real-life situations, have helped me to understand and encourage students to achieve excellence in both the classroom and life.
Teaching Style
My belief is that everyone of us is blessed with a talent, a skill. My talent has been teaching. My teaching style has been one of asking many questions and having the students participate in their educational experience. I feel the more a student puts forth, the more they will learn. I treasure an inquisitive mind; a young person who looks for a challenge. In order to develop this "Socrates" style many hours are devoted to preparation.
