Experience Summary
I have two bachelor degrees, one in Zoology with an emphasis in Chemistry, the other degree in Psychology. While obtaining my first degree I taught anatomy lab at the university level. I also tutored anatomy for the office of students with disabilities. While earning my second degree I was asked to tutor by a professor for students in my class that happened to also be associated with the disabilities office. I also started a math and reading lab for at-risk youth at a local middle school in Ogden, Utah.
Teaching Style
I really enjoy teaching. I am trying to get my Ph.D. so that I can teach at the university level. I feel rewarded when I can see a student realize that they are comprehending and working on their own with confidence. I strive to make sure that the student is the one doing the work and learning. I enjoy helping and perhaps restating a situation so that the student can better understand. However, it is very important to me to make sure that the student is actually learning the topic we cover
