Experience Summary
During high school I was able to obtain enough college credit through my International Baccalaurete classes to allow me the opportunity to finish college with a double major - Accounting and Criminology. During my last year of college, I began tutoring for the Athletic Department of USF. After that I began working at Grant Thornton LLP and was able to continue my tutoring career by assisting several students through High School subjects such as Algebra, Geometry, and Pre-Calculus as well as college subjects such as statistics and cost accounting.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is based on a one on one atmosphere where I am able to understand the student's area of concern and assist the student in achieving their goal through sharing the knowledge I have learned through my studies. Through my past tutoring experience, I have learned that it is crucial to understand that everyone has a different learning style and it is critical to adapt to the individual student's learning style. This is what has allowed me to see student who were making D's and F's on tests to achieve their goal of making an A in the class.
