Experience Summary
I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BA in Spanish and Religion. I have been tutoring for over four years at all grade levels. I won the scholarly writing award for my writing and grammar skills, and have a broad knowledge of English and Spanish grammar. I have tutored various subjects including math, history, Spanish, and language arts. I love teaching, especially one on one where I can give my full attention to the student.
Teaching Style
I taught K-8 Spanish, then third grade. I understand that each child learns differently, so many methods may need to be incorporated. Repetition is something I rely on to learn vocabulary words or important concepts. Music and games are a fun way to help children and adults learn difficult or lengthy concepts. I want to be able to not only help the child understand what they're supposed to be learnilng, but also to enjoy learning it.
