Experience Summary
I am currently a senior at University of South Florida majoring in special education, looking to specialize in high school students. I earned my AA in Elementary Education and will be completing my B.S. in May 2007. I am fluent in both English and Spanish and have gained previous experience tutoring students with grammatical skills in both English and Spanish. During the past two years I have worked in afterschool programs tutoring students with special needs in different academic areas such as literature, writting, reading and spanish. My tutoring interest and experience has also grown through the practicum settings (internships) I work with each semester as a part of earning my degree.
Teaching Style
I enjoy teaching and working with students of all ages, particularly middle school and high school students. I believe that each student has a particular way of learning and understanding, therefore it is important to accomodate lessons to their individual needs so that their learning process is successful. I believe it is important to teach lessons through integration by connectiong students interest to the lesson and helping them identify the connection and expand their learning process.
