Experience Summary
I have always loved helping others acheive their goals. Working as a teacher has allowed me to help my students in a subject I love. In a classroom ith a lot of students on a deadline I am rarely allowed the opportunity to discuss the subject one on one. Tutoring has filled the void for me. I have volunteered my tutoring services for one year at the community college. I also tutored at U of A to help students with learning disabilities obtain their academic goals. I have tutored a wide variety of subjects from English to humanities to art history.
Teaching Style
My teaching style has always been relaxed. I enjoy a good discussion of a text and welcome new ideas. I believe that in order to teach, not only must the teacher love what they do, the student must also find something (at least some what) enjoyable. Therefore, we look for new ways to teach the text. Not everyone learns the same way.
