Experience Summary
As a 2007 graduate of St. Petersburg College, I have also been working as a teacher partner in the Title 1 Program (working with all different grade levels) at Pinellas Central in Pinellas Park for the last twenty-one years. My student teaching experience was at Nina Harris ESE Center in Pinellas Park with profoundly handicapped, non-verbal high school students. I have earned a BS in Exceptional Student Education with an English To Speakers Of Other Languages Endorsement. This school year I was a Si2 Tutor with the Supplemental Tutoring Services in Florida. I taught K- 2 students. As a teacher partner, my job included performed instructional support work directly assisting identified students (K-5) to develop learning readiness, pre-reading, reading and/or mathematics skills through a planned supplementary program. Provides direct assistance to students who have fallen behind in their class work and/ or who need remediation in State Assessment Test standards.
Teaching Style
As a teacher I see my teaching style as: to build the confidence in each of my students so that they can achieve to his or her fullest potent. To help each of my students to feel successful in their learning as I patiently guide them. For my environment, it will be a positive and safe learning one. Each student will be treated respectfully and kindly as they enter my room. To prepare my students for tomorrow’s trials and tribulations. By doing this I will have meet each of my students’ interests, readiness levels and learning profiles.To build up a cultivating positive relationship between home and school. By doing this, I would welcome and encourage any type of involvement of my students’ parents / guardians.
