Experience Summary
My experience with children and academics is great! I have always desired to teach and therefore have spent a great deal of time with students. I graduated as Outstanding Graduate of the School of Education with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and ESE from Palm Beach Atlantic University. My four and half years here opened many doors for tutoring opportunities. I completed field experiences with ESE high school students, inner city third graders - social studies, fourth and fifth graders - reading and mathematics, as well as a 15-week student teaching internship with a third grade inclusion class. I have also been a nanny and tutored middle school students in the areas of math and English. I have even worked with students at the high school levels in the areas of Algebra II and Geometry.
Teaching Style
Working with children and being a positive influence in both their academic and developmental lives is something I desire to do for the rest of my life. I believe that with the right learning environment and developmental strategies any student can achieve academic success. I strongly believe that the student must be completely engaged in the subject. This can be accomplished through hands-on activities, manipulatives, making the material relevant and so on. I am an avid and continual learner myself and desire for my students to be the same.
