Experience Summary
My direct experience is with adult learners. In my current position at USA TODAY, one of the largest newspapers in the country, I am heavily involved with technology training. Not only do I work with developing new training materials (from PowerPoint to video to documentation), I also do live classroom training. I tutored younger students for my college internships where I worked with fifth graders. Both short internships were fulfilling, but I ultimately opted to go to the corporate world.
Teaching Style
I try to give my students the tools and resources they need to move beyond what they learn in the classroom. It is not enough that a student is engaged in the classroom. He or she needs to be able to apply what they have learned to real world situations. It is always my goal to help students see how to connect what they learn in class to the real world.
