Experience Summary
As a recent graduate from Clearwater Christian College, I am a hard-working, dedicated, and responsible individual as I completed my 4 year BS in Psychology degree in 3 1/2 years. Through my experience in teaching conversational English in China, I have been exposed to ESL students and have realized the importance of finding a teaching style that works for different cultures. I am currently a student at Argosy University and I am working on my MA in School Counseling. I have extensive grammatical skills, as writing research papers is primary in graduate school. My 4.0 GPA in graduate school is an example of my work ethic as well as holding academic achievement in high regards.
Teaching Style
I believe in a student-centered approach as it allows effective instruction for everyone in the classroom, no matter what the diverse learning needs are. Each student has a different learning style and it is my goal to discover their specific learning style and to help them achieve academic success. It is my job as a tutor to engage the student in active learning and to create a high motivation for students to learn, as learning is the ultimate goal. I am very patient, caring, and motivational, as I love working with children, helping them to achieve academically and to understand the importance of their education for future success.
