About Me

Experience Summary

During my years in high school and college, I was an honor student who excelled in all subjects. Not only am I gifted, but I am also driven to succeed. Most recently in my career, one of my greatest responsibilities was to teach/train my associates. For the past ten years, I have taught adults of varying ages and knowledge levels, both in a classroom setting and one-on-one. Many times, I provided additional training after hours in my home. Perhaps one of my greater successes was to teach a class of recent college graduates with no knowledge of the business or industry. Each member of that class became highly successful, and exceeded expectations. Because I am both excited and passionate about teaching, I am in the process of obtaining my teaching license in middle school math/science. My college coursework in Economics honed my skills in math and statistics; however, in order to ensure a well-rounded education, I took upper-level writing courses most semesters. My experiences and abilities have prepared me for a career in education.

Teaching Style

I believe that education is the key to success for children. As a teacher, I hope to motivate students in ascertaining their inner strengths and abilities and discovering what truly inspires them. I aim to provide a stimulating learning environment that encourages students to trust their own opinions, while fostering confidence in order for students to realize their full potential. Through my leadership and training experience, I have found the method of facilitating, rather than dictating, to be a highly beneficial style of teaching. I have learned that if students participate in their own learning experiences, they will not only retain information longer, but they will also become more confident in their abilities. Being devoted to this assertion confirms that I have made the right career choice for myself. I have a natural ability to relate to children, and will strive to be a positive influence in their lives. I have come to realize how vital education is in the preparation for young people to achieve success in all endeavors set before them. I hope to instill a love of learning and a desire for constant knowledge within each student.
