Experience Summary
The best job I ever had was tutoring math at a learning center. I found it so rewarding to watch my students learn and enjoy their time learning with me. Although I did not have a teaching certificate or a degree at the time the director of the center knew I was extremely proficient in math and had a professional and patient demeanor. Now that I have graduated with a Business Administration Degree with a finance major and economics minor I feel I am more than qualified to continue tutoring students in math. My best experiences with teaching were improving my student's grades and levels of math.
Teaching Style
I was raised in a home where education was a priority and my mom religiously practiced flash cards and read with us. I believe anyone can learn given the time to practice and someone to encourage them and push them in a consistently patient and loving way. I believe it is education and knowledge that will help make our societies better and I want to be a part of that. My teaching style is one of understanding the perspective of the student and working with their foundation knowledge to build and grow upon. I know I have so much to offer the next generations as well as those who may be my age or older working on advancing their lives.
