Experience Summary
I have worked at a community college for over 8 years and I enjoyed going to work each and every day. I loved being with my students and sharing my expertise and work experiences.
Sometimes a student would, in their words, ask a “stupid question”. I, of course, say there is no such thing as a stupid question and I would never mind repeating any information again to assist the learning experience. Teaching to me was never boring!
I am a very patient teacher and accomplished artist. I possess excellent organizational and management abilities, am extremely computer literate (IBM & MAC) and I recently (1999) received my Vocational Teaching Credentials, in Multimedia from California State University, Long Beach.
Teaching Style
I am extremely competent in creating and using multimedia presentation tools in the learning environment. I taught PowerPoint and Macromedia Director for 8 years and co-created a multimedia CD-ROM commercial software program “FUN WITH PHONICS” for 3 to 5 year olds.
I believe that open communication is essential and that using email and web based curriculum increases the student teacher learning potential. The regular use of Google and other meta search engines allows the student and teacher to access unlimited amounts of information that makes the educational experience increasingly invaluable.
