Experience Summary
I earned my BA in Business Administration with a major in Accounting. I worked for 5 years as a controller for a medium size McDonald's Franchisee. I have over 23 years experience working as Director of Management Information Services where I worked directly under the Treasurer. Part of my job included preparing the quarterly financial statements and calculating annual fixed asset depreciation amounts. Most recently I was involved in the sale of 18 McDonald's restaurants. My involvement included calculating store values and assisting in negotiating the sale price. I have taught CPR, Advanced Life Support (Paramedic I & II), Basic First Aid, and Accounting 101 to name a few.
Teaching Style
One of my older students described me as "having the patience of a Saint". One of the most rewarding moments in teaching is when a student that is struggling with a subject "gets it". Whenever possible I try to use examples from everyday life to explain the problem more clearly. I truly enjoy helping others and sharing my knowledge with them.
