Experience Summary
I hold a BA in Early Childhood, studied Communications, and absolutely love teaching. I do not teach in a classroom, however, I teach in the corporate world, which has given me the opportunity to learn new challenges and achieve different goals. When I started my career teaching, I taught Pre K – 1st grade. When I decided to change careers, I didn't want to give up teaching completely; my passion is to help kids achieve their academic goals and boost their self-confidence. I've tutored students in English, mathematics (including Calculus), reading basics, writing skills, and computer learning programs.
Teaching Style
Sometimes a child's obstacle is not always an academic challenge. A truly talented educator looks beyond the letter grade and must genuinely understand the student as a person and his/her life. Don't we all respond to someone who truly cares about our well being and performance? I present the child with the tools to succeed and allow him/her to hold the power of his success. When a person is given the gift to accomplish tasks for self-development, it's an intrinsic reward that can't be matched.
