Experience Summary
I have been teaching for six years. I currently teach third grade at Edgewood Academy in Fort Myers, FL. I hold my professional teaching certificate in Florida and I am a highly qualified teacher. I am currently a doctoral student at Novasoutheastern University. The focus of my research is on reading.
Teaching Style
I am a firm believer in research based teaching. I combine direct instruction with constructivist methods of teaching. I also take a humanistic approach to motivate my students to learn. I take the time to learn about my student's interests and background knowledge so I can tailor my instruction to each student's needs and interests as much as possible. I also believe in adding fun and humor to learning, which has made the learning experience a very positive one for my students.
