Experience Summary
As a graduate of an excellent liberal arts college in DeLand, Florida I am committed to academic excellence. With a Bachelor's Degree in History with another major concentration in Spanish along with a minor concentration in General Business, I am able to assist students with a variety of subjects. With advanced studies in History, I have extensive experience within research as well as an advanced understanding of formal writing which includes grammar and language usage. Along with these credentials, I am also fluent in Spanish and have 4+ years experience within the teaching field and have taught a multitude of subjects including but not limited to Spanish, World History, Economics and Government, and Algebra. I enjoy working with students of all ages from kindergarten through college and love being a teacher.
Teaching Style
I love teaching and enjoy working with all types of students from remedial to enrichment as well as at-rist, non traditonal, and college students. I have a very interactive teaching style. I enjoy getting the students involved in the learning process. I encourage students to be active rather than passive learners. I also do my best to relate whatever subject I am teaching to the real world. In doing this, students have a better understanding of why it is important to learn such subjects as History, Algebra, and Foreign Languages such as Spanish. It is my goal to instill a sense of accomplishment, pride, and intrigue into the minds of my students.
