Experience Summary
After graduating with a bachelor's degree in political science and a minor in English, I spent a year teaching marine science at an experiential education facility. This supplemented my education with knowledge and practice related to the field of marine science, including laboratory research, field study techniques, and data analysis. In addition to teaching marine science, I have also spent two years tutoring in science, English writing and grammar, math, and social sciences.
Teaching Style
I believe that learning can be a fun and enjoyable experience for all children if they are given the proper amount of motivation and confidence. Being a good listener is one of the most important aspects of being a good teacher. To me, being a good educator means talking with children and respecting their feedback, rather than just talking at them. I enjoy helping kids realize how fun learning can be. I am outgoing, sensitive, and respectful, which helps me relate to students and their educational needs.
