Experience Summary
I earned a Bachelor's degree in Public Health Nutrition, which required me to take many science classes, including anatomy/physiology and chemistry. I have had a career as an ESL teacher overseas and in the U.S. For the past ten years, I have gained extensive experience teaching primary and secondary students as well as college students and other adults in classroom and tutorial settings. My classes have included reading, writing, grammar, speaking, listening, and literature analysis.
Teaching Style
Teaching comes naturally to me and I have the patience, dedication, warmth and concern that this profession requires. When a student recognizes that you sincerely care about their progress, they are more apt to apply themselves and feel confident in their ability to achieve. I believe in encouraging critical thinking skills, learning by doing, and learning through discovery. Education should be approached with a balance of seriousness and fun!
