Experience Summary
As a law school graduate, I have excellent writing and grammatical skills, which I attained through my work on Law Review as well as through my class work. While I was in college at George Washington University, I tutored students in English and writing at a high school in Washington, D.C. I moved recently to Tampa, and I am looking for a similar tutoring opportunity here.
Teaching Style
In my tutoring experience, I have learned that children learn in different ways and that one way of learning may work for one student, but may not necessarily work for another. I am patient, and I strive to use a manner of teaching that makes the material "click" for the student. I have the ability to place myself in the student's shoes and see things from their point of view. I strive to be both respected as well as serve as a role model for the student.
