Experience Summary
To finish my college experience, I student taught in a 3/4 split classroom. There, I created and implemented lessons for both my third and fourth grade students, and managed two classes within one classroom. In my next semester, I student taught in a varying exceptionalities classroom comprised of EH, autism, CP, and down syndrome children. Currently, I am embarking on my third year as an ESE teacher in an autism cluster. Each of my students have there own curriculum from which they are working, and unique IEP's. Therefore I have become very good at individualized planning, and working 1:1 with students. I am K-12 ESE certified, and K-5 gen ed certified.
Teaching Style
I enjoy working with a wide array of students and abilities. I believe that all children have different learning styles, and can flourish when their own unique style is presented to them. I would describe my teaching style as laid back yet strong, extremely patient, and considerate of each child's individual needs. I believe that with patience, belief in the student, and the proper learning atmosphere, all children can reach their maximum potential.
