Experience Summary
Before I graduated from the university I went to Chile for one year and taught ESOL for one year to students from 5 years old all the way up to adults. I was also a teacher's aide for a school for childeren with varying learning disabilites. After I graduated with my BA in Elementary Education I worked with at-risk teens teaching all the subject areas. I was preparing them for the GED exam. Later on I taught in a school for childeren with dyslexia. Recently I was an ESOL Unit Coordinator for an agency. In this agency I tested, designed, and put into place curriculum and tracked student progress.
Teaching Style
I always enjoyed working with childeren of diverse backgrounds. Since there are four styles of learning I believe lessons should be taught to all four learning styles. No matter what level at child is at all childeren can be taught to excel beyond their level. I am very understanding, patient, flexible, and creative.
