Experience Summary
As a recipient of a juris doctorate and double major bachelor's degree in communications and political science, I have devoted my time to helping troubled students achieve a high level of success. My law degree and my communications degree enables me to have a strong foundation when dealing with the English language. I have learned extensive grammatical and reading skills due to the many research papers, articles, and legal documents I have written. My background in political science also enables me to teach in areas dealing with social science, statistics, politics, and history. I have tutored students in math, English, language arts, and science.
Teaching Style
My goal is to give back to today's generation what was given to me as a young student, an opportunity to learn and to strive for success regardless of any obstacles they may face. I am a very patient, considerate and diligent individual. I ensure that the student has the materials learned by testing them on the material they have just learned. I don't mind being repetitive, because some students learn through repetition. I use a constructive as well as a visual approach while teaching. The students are able to apply the knowledge or information they have learned in a practical manner. Children have what it takes to be successful. However, they need guidance, encouragement and a good educational background to be able to show their potential. My goal is to help them one step at a time.
