Experience Summary
With a an extensive background in the social sciences, I have experience working with social science data analysis involving both bivariate and multivariate statistical techniques as well as the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS). I have tutored students in the fundamentals of data analysis, various techniques, report writing and the use of SPSS. I also have experience tutoring across several sociology courses, basic skills and GED preparation. I have taught desktop publishing, technical writing and excel courses as. I also have worked with both traditional as well as non-traditional students.
Teaching Style
My teaching style involves the use of multiple real life examples and stressing the application of concepts. Students are provided with an applied understanding of the subject matter. I am patient and allow students to work through mistakes. I am a firm believer in using multiple teaching techniques that appeal to various learning styles.
