Experience Summary
While a student at Luzerne County Community College, I was recommended to be a tutor by mathematics professor David Wasilewski. I tutored college students primarily in the fundamentals of algebra and English composition. In 2005, I was awarded the Student Support Service Award for tutoring. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude, from King's College and went on to earn a Juris Doctor. In addition to social science courses, I have completed extensive general education courses throughout my college career.
Teaching Style
My teaching style depends completely upon the level of the student. I will tailor each session to the student's needs. I am a believer in mastering the basics before moving on to the advanced. I also divide (and encourage the student to divide) materials into more manageable steps, making schoolwork much less overwhelming. My goal is for every student I tutor to become more confident and see noticeable improvement. I am very patient and can motivate each student to want to succeed. Having completed many years of education myself, it would be my honor to share my passion for education with others.
