Experience Summary
I strived to achieve the maximum while earning my degrees because I understand the importance of education. I possess a BS in Information technology and a MBA. Retired from the USN, I have trained many young sailors and received recognition for my success in doing so. I am quite experienced in writing evaluations affecting the personnel under me in the military and civilian employment. While earning my degrees, I wrote one individual and one team research paper minimum each week. My final GPA was 3.967. In the past four years, I have taught technology and business courses at the college level giving me insight to areas youth need special attention in writing and studying.
Teaching Style
My style of teaching involves discussion, reading, writing, and hands on. if possible. I strive to get my students to feel comfortable which I find brings out creative thinking. I have experience teaching students with slow or difficult learning abilities and students with handicaps such as blind or deaf. My department dean saw my abilities in working with special needs students and placed the students in my classes. I believe one-on-one teaching builds trust with students and relaxes them. I motivate students by installing a positive outlook in the students mind. While in the USN, I and was selected by the Admiral of the Naval War College as the Command Career Counselor where I guided enlisted sailors in their naval career.
