Experience Summary
I have been teaching at a charter school for at-risk students for 10 years. I have taught both English and History, as well as administered all required state testing. In 2005 while I was one of two English teachers in the school, my school won the Gains Maker Award for three years of continuous improvement in writing. Also, I have a Master’s Degree in Curriculum & Instruction. I have worked with all levels of academic abilities as well as behavioral issues.
Teaching Style
While teaching at a charter school for at-risk students, I have worked with all levels of academic abilities as well as behavioral issues. I believe in different learning styles and tailoring instruction to the student’s interest and abilities. Not everyone learns in the same way or at the same speed, but everyone can learn.
