Experience Summary
I am in my sixth year of teaching. I am one of nine third grade teachers at Miami Trace Elementary school for Miami Trace Local Schools. Previously, I taught at Wayne Elementary. I taught first grade for one year and third grade for the two years. I attended Ashland University in Ashland, Ohio. During my time there I had classroom experiences in pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, and a kindergarten/first grade room in Mansfield, as well as Ashland. My student teaching was spent in a second and third grade split classroom at Cornerstone Elementary School in Wooster. I continued my education by achieving my Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership at Antioch University McGregor in Yellow Springs, Ohio.
Teaching Style
I enjoy my job as an educator. During my six years of teaching, I feel I have really grown as an educator. I am a dedicated and motivated teacher who is a prepared, yet flexible educator who truly cares for the education of each student. I believe in creating a community involving the school, students, and parents that cooperate with each other in the best interests of the students. It is essential to work together to ensure the education of each student to his or her best potential.
