Experience Summary
As a native speaker, I offer excellent knowledge of all areas of the French language,and accurate pronunciation which is of particular importance when learning a foreign language. My understanding of the culture can offer the student an added dimention to the learning process.
Additionally, the academic world is one I much enjoy and respect as proven by my outstanding achievements as a Suma Cum Lade graduate from Louisiana Tech University. I substituted in French for the middle and high school in Ruston, Louisiana. As a parent, I am often required to tutor in diverse subjects taught in middle and high school. As a friend I have tutored fellow students as well as my friends children.
Teaching Style
In tutoring my children, it has become apparent that one on one attention is absolutely necessary not only for children to learn, but also for the instructor to verify understanding and progress made by the student. Necessity the school system alone can not offer a student,while it is the strength of tutoring. Tutoring provides the opportunity to find the right medium to convey information, in the manner most effective for the child or adjust immediately if necessary. This is what makes education so facinating and rewarding to me.
