I mentored at Moody Middle School, as well as gained a years worth of counseling experience at a local elementary, middle and high school. Additionally, I have instructed martial arts for over 6 years. My education has allowed me to polish up my mathematics and writing skills, and my experience has allowed me to become proficient at interacting with children.
Teaching Style
The basis of counseling lies on allowing the child to develop at his or her own pace. This attitude, combined with my martial art background which focuses on self-discipline and self-control, allows me to create an environment which is nurturing but also motivating to the child to keep trying harder. I have worked with all kinds of students, from exceptional education, to gifted and talented students.
